I am a Certified Transactional Analyst in the counselling field with over ten years experience working with many different issues people face.

I have gained experience working in different mental health settings. I work with people who are experiencing anxiety, anger, depression, stress, low self-esteem, separation and divorce, behavioural problems, relationship difficulties, employment issues, family issues and transitions including military personnel.

I adhere to the NCS ethical framework and attend regular supervision to support my work.

My further qualifications include a Certificate in Couples Counselling and a Certificate in Counselling Children and Young People.

I am also a Supervisor and Trainer practising Transactional Analysis PTSTA (C)

I offer supervision to counselling trainees from all modalities, in particular those interested in using a transactional analysis frame. At the heart of my supervision practice is the TA core philosophy, I'm Ok, You're Ok.

In Supervision I use a collaborative approach aiming to provide a balance between case management, TA learning and support. I use a reflective model to promote and enhance self awareness and confidence.

Please see my supervision and training page for more information or click here.

Linda Gillham

BACP Accredited & MNCS Professional Accredited Counsellor

Welcome to my website

I am a qualified and experienced counsellor working short and long term with both individuals and groups.

I enjoy working with people from all different backgrounds, some with mental health diagnoses and others who feel they would like support in areas of their life, maybe feeling anxious, depressed or struggling with relationships. I work with wellbeing, everyone has resources, together we can find them.

I offer a warm, non judgmental, empathic approach. Are you feeling anxious or depressed? Having problems with your relationships? Experiencing a difficult time in your life such as separation, divorce, redundancy or struggling with negative thoughts about yourself? We can work together, at your own pace to think about how you can deal with the issues you are facing in a different way and help you to understand what is happening, why it is happening and the changes you could make. I work primarily using transactional analysis which is one of the most accessible types of counselling, offering a space to promote personal growth and change.

I am Accredited by the National Counselling Society and work within their Ethical Framework. I am also a member of the United Kingdom Association of Transactional Analysis (UKATA), the European Association of Transactional Analysts (EATA), and the International Transactional Analysis Association (ITAA).
